A lengthy investigation has resulted in charges against a regional Provincial Police officer.
The OPP North West Region Crime Unit says the investigation started last November and note the officer wasn’t on duty at the time.
Constable Steve Tetreault has been charged with theft over $5,000 and fraud over $5,000.
Tetreault is a 24-year member of the OPP and is currently assigned to the Kenora OPP Detachment.
Police say the officer is currently on leave and he’s scheduled to make his first court appearance on Monday.
