OPP Officer Now Collecting Life Jackets For Remote Northern First Nations

A member of the Ontario Provincial Police is coming forward to help put an end to drowning’s and tragedy on the water.

Sergeant Marty Singleton is running a full marathon on Father’s Day to raise funds to purchase life jackets to send to northern communities.

However, Singleton stresses the ‘Remember Your Life Jacket’ campaign begins now.

He’s now collecting donations and life jackets.

Singleton says he’s witnessed too many tragic events on the water.

Singleton also lost a colleague and a friend to drowning’s in less than a week.

He notes says you can’t change the past but you can do something to prevent future tragedies.

Donation details: TD Bank Account #: 6499635 Branch #: 05962
