OPP officers from across Northwestern Ontario are taking part this week in an aboriginal awareness course on the Washagamis Bay First Nation, near Kenora.
24-officers are getting a crash course on aboriginal culture and history.
Inspector Dave Lucas says the course is held every year.
Lucas says the course is usually held in Mattawa in Northeastern Ontario, but last year it was brought up to Northwestern Ontario, with Sioux Lookout acting as host.
