Provincial Police are looking to fill some vacancies at its detachments across northwestern Ontario.
A recruitment drive continues with various public events and Retired Sergeant Darryl Wilson says they are targeting well rounded individuals.
Wilson says they are looking for folks who have solid leadership skills, good school grades and those with a strong employment background.
Wilson says it’s also important to have experience volunteering.
He notes applicants should have a compassion to serve victims of crime and a desire to help someone in need.
Wilson says they don’t want someone who focuses on one-thing and doesn’t volunteer, noting they want applicants to have a broad cross-section of skills and desires.
