OPP Remind Boaters To Wear Their Lifejackets

Provincial Police are seeing an increase in boaters not wearing their life jackets on area waters.
Constable Anne McCoy says its something they’ll be watching for during the remainder of this summer.
McCoy says it’s important to put your life jacket on, because having the one lying in a vessel or stored in a storage compartment does little to help you if you unexpectedly end up in the water.
If officers find you without a lifejacket in your vessel, the fine is $240.
