Provincial Police in Atikokan have seized a highly potent drug combination believed to be linked to several overdose incidents in the Thunder Bay area.
Officers stopped a vehicle and a search resulted in the discovery of what is known as “Purple Down”.
OPP also found a quantity of Crystal Methamphetamine.
Police believe the narcotics were being trafficked.
OPP say 39-year-old Michael Bujold of Atikokan faces a total of three charges.
Meantime, an Atikokan resident trying to peddle goods through social media as been caught red handed.
Provincial Police were called to investigate a report of stolen property being sold using the local Atikokan Facebook page.
Officers executed a search warrant of a home and recovered the stolen items.
OPP say 28-year-old Cassie Clark faces a total of three charges including misleading police in the course of an investigation.
