Are you considered a “pocket dialer”?
If so the OPP has its eye on you!
Ontario Provincial Police say too many people are still “pocket dialing” 9-1-1 and are offering some hints to help curb the accidental calls.
They ask people keep their mobile devices in their holster or
lock the keypad.
They also note that if a cell phone does accidentally dial 9-1-1, users shouldn’t hang up because operators will have to call them back to make sure they aren’t in trouble, and send an officer to check on the caller.
