OPP Welcomes Ombudsman Report

A new report is looking out for members of the Ontario Provincial Police.
The Ombudsman report deals with occupational stress and injury of officers and civillian staff.
Acting Superintendent Dave Quigley says 28 recomendations were made to OPP and 6 to community safety and correctional services.
Quigley says the report deals with research and data collection as well as psycological and wellness programs.
It includes how the service deals with psychologial issues, such as depression, anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder.
Quigley says they have a working group who is going to assess the findings, and see what will work at the end of the day.
Quigley adds the report highlights the difficult jobs that uniformed and civillian officers face.
He welcomes the recommendations.
