Opposition Calling For Legislature To Resume

The opposition is calling for the return of the Ontario Legislature.

Green Party leader Mike Schreiner says there’s a lot that can be done, even during a federal election.

“Make sure Ontario is well-positioned for a strong, green, and caring recovery coming out of the pandemic,” says Schreiner.

“I urge the premier to bring the legislature back, be accountable, answer the tough questions, reassure Ontarians.”

Schreiner urges the premier to get back to Queen’s Park and start-up as soon as possible.

“There are some urgent items we need to deal with. I mean one of those, that keeps coming up, is passing legislation to provide legal protection for businesses when it comes to enforcing things like vaccine certificates. So I think a number of issues…addressing the housing affordability crisis.”

Queen’s Park business was supposed to resume today, but the government prorogued the legislature until October 4th.
