An area business wants the provincial government to think before it acts.
Charlene Haste from Vapemate says she’s concerned with proposed legislation to ban the use of e-cigarettes the same as regular cigarettes.
Haste adds if people are forced to vape outdoors with smokers, they will be exposed to second hand smoke and be pressured to go to regular cigarettes.
Haste says she has assisted in a research presentation on e-cigarettes that will be presented to the Standing Committee on Health next week.
She notes the decision on the use of e-cigarettes should be left up to individual establishments.
