OPSEU Calling For Private Sector Participation In Pot Sales

Another call is being made to open up new retail cannabis stores in the province.

The Ontario Public Service Employees Union says the LCBO should be allowed to compete for licenses.

President Warren “Smokey” Thomas says the governments plan to have the private sector run the outlets has been a complete failure.

Thomas says there are still too few stores and some have been falling prey to organized crime.
