OPSEU Demands Mandate Letters Be Released

The Ford government is being accused of being secretive.

The Ontario Public Service Employees Union is demanding that the premier release the mandate lettters for his ministers.

OPSEU president Warren “Smokey” Thomas says the mandate letters contain important information for the public.

“There’s no hint even for the people of Ontario what he’s got planned next. He also campaigned on being a friend to rural and northern Ontario and I’ve yet to see what he has planned to bolster rural Ontario or northern Ontario.”

Thomas says both the previous Liberal government’s of Kathleen Wynne and Dalton McGuinty made it a practice of releasing the mandate letters.
