Oral Language Program Expanded

The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board has expanded its oral
language program to include Wabigoon, New Prospect, Ear Falls, King George,
and Keewatin schools.
Coordinator Maury Swenson says the one of its kind initiative helps
students master the basics by the end of Kindergarten.
Swenson adds they will be training junior, senior and intermediate
teachers later in the school year.
This is the third year of the program and a world renowned
researcher will visit the schools later this year to look at the program.
