ORNGE Turning To Twitter To Be More Open With Public

Another area emergency service provider has taken to social media to get their message out to the public.

ORNGE Air Ambulance has started to send out tweets if their helicopters have to land in a public space.

Spokesperson Anthony Sharp says they will only send out messages if they feel the public is going to be inconvenienced.

Sharp says they want to make sure people know that a helicopter is coming and why it’s there.

ORNGE took to twitter last week to advise their medi-vac helicopter was landing on Highway 17 west of Kenora near Gundy Lake, following a fatal two vehicle crash.
