The leader of the Ontario Secondary School Teacher’s Federation says the repeal of Bill 115 is a small step in repairing the relationship between Ontario teachers and the provincial government.
Ken Coran is the only union leader to say that the legislation that imposed contracts on 126 thousand public elementary and high school teachers is a step in the right directon.
However, Coran adds it will take quite some time for the government to earn the trust from teachers and education staff.
Coran says he hopes that the new premier will develop a process that is fair and restores their collective bargaining rights.
