OSSTF Talks Possible Strikes

Some Ontario high school teachers could be walking picket lines before the end of school.

Teachers in Thunder Bay among them. Speaking to teachers gathered in Toronto on the weekend, Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation president Paul Elliott says they can not longer accept school boards and government taking the work of teachers for granted.

Hundreds of teachers in seven districts across Ontario have not had a contract since last August.

Elliott says he’s also frustrated by a lack of progress that has been been made on talks. (Photo supplied OSSTF)
