A former Dryden resident has formally been charged in a June 2007 triple homicide.
Ottawa Police have charged 59-year-old Ian Bush with three counts of first degree murder.
Earlier this week Bush was identified as the “prime suspect” in the slaying of a retired tax judge, his wife and a neighbour.
Bush is also facing attempted murder charges in the home invasion of a 101-year-old Second World War veteran.
He appeared in court briefly Friday to face 11 new weapons charges.
It was also determined he is fit to stand trial in the home invasion case.
Bush has been in police custody since December 20th and will be back in court Saturday.
Bush was a student at Dryden High School and briefly worked at the Dryden Board of Education.
