Our MP Greg Rickford On Parliament Hill Shootings

Greg Rickford is in shock after learning about the shots fired at Parliament Hill.
The Kenora M.P. was on his way to the Hill this morning to present in caucus, when his driver told him everything was on lock down.
Rickford says he is very concerned for the safety of his M.P. colleagues and he has an office on the Hill.
He says as far as he knows the gunman has not been captured.
Media reports say shots were also fired at Ottawa’s war memorial where a soldier was wounded.
According to a tweet from the Prime Minister’s Office, Stephen Harper is safe.
Minister Tony Clement tweeted that shots were fired during caucus meeting with at least 30 shots.
Clement went on to say that MPs’ piled out and that he is safe with 2 colleagues but they are still at risk.

Media reports indicate three shootings have taken place on Parliament Hill and nearby.
