Over 98 percent of members of the Paper, allied-
industrial, chemical and energy workers union voted in
favour of a new contract with Abitibi-Consolidated
yesterday.
President Glen Morrison says he’s less than thrilled
with the terms of the contract.

Members of the Communications, energy and paperworkers
union settled their contract with Abitibi over the summer,
and it has been the basis for contract negotiations with
other unions since.
Pace represents 134 workers, and is the largest union at
the mill.
