Patricia Area Community Endeavours is hoping to spur more economic growth.
The agency has $1.2-million sitting in its loan program fund.
Vice-Chair Richard Wetelainen says interest in the program has been high.
Wetelainen says they are seeing a lot more people come into the Dryden office.
He says staff are working with entrepreneurs and potential business owners, but so far that’s not translating into final loans and activities.
Wetelainen believes there’s a light at the end of the tunnel as they will soon be able to release more funding for entrepreneurs.
He adds PACE is also working with area communities to develop a regional economic plan.
Wetelainen notes they want to incorporate individual plans to ensure everyone is on the same page.
