An important fundraiser for the Dryden Public Library is underway.
Chief Librarian Dayna DeBenedet says they are hosting a silent auction in support of their Library Shelving Fund.
DeBenedet says it is an original painting by local artist Burton Penner that depicts a beautiful outdoor scene in Northwestern Ontario.
She notes they are trying to raise 50-thousand dollars to replace their 50-year-old shelving units.
