Parent Named Captain of Team Canada

A Sioux Lookout teen will captain Canada’s National Under 18 Hockey team at the Junior World Cup.
Ryan Parent was given the ‘C’ by Hockey Canada Officials this morning in Calgary.
Parent says he was shocked by the announcement as he was just trying to make the team.
The 6’1 Defenceman says he likes the makeup of the team.
The National Club will depart from Calgary tomorrow morning for Slovakia.
Canada’s first game is Tuesday August 10th.
