Parents Asked To Be Mindful Of Bullies

The return of school brings with it a flurry of social media activity among students.
Not all of it is positive, and experts say it’s important to understand that a child could be the victim of bullying before they ever step foot on the playground.
Life coach and author Peggy Caruso says the best way a parent can help their child is to be aware of the potential sources of bullying.
Caruso says parents should be mindful of what their child is doing on social media.
She notes signs of bullying include a child who seems withdrawn, lacks the desire to interact with others, or exhibits extreme changes in behaviour.
Caruso recommends children resist the temptation to respond to the bully, don’t retaliate and save any evidence for police.
