The parents of slain teenager Daniel Beardy feel the justice system
has failed them with the acquittal of Corey Wesley.
Beardy was fatally injured at a house party on the Fort William First
Nation Reserve in July 2004 and Wesley was found not-guilty of manslaughter
last week.
In a Press Release, his parents Stan and Nellie say they have been
seeking the truth about Beardy’s death and to have those responsible held
accountable.
The family adds the justice system has not satisfied either of their
goals.
