Parking Concerns At St. Josephs School

Changes to parking at St. Josephs School in Dryden may be down the pike.
The Police Service has been inundated with complaints of parking in front of the school and buses having difficulties because of a gridlock of traffic.
Chief Rob Davis says no parking zones are in place at the school and stresses officers have beefed up enforcement.
Davis says the snowbanks are also posing problems and calls the situation a serious safety concern.
He says police are working with St. Josephs principal Mark Lugli as well as the City to address the issue.
Davis adds Public Works is working on dealing with the high snow banks in the area.
Davis notes they are looking at various options including using Park Crescent as a so called “kiss-and-fly” zone.
He points out that any change in parking and waiting zones on Park Crescent are still at least a month-and-a-half away at the earliest.
