The Federal Natural Resources Committee will meet for two days next week to discuss the Ring of Fire in Northern Ontario.
The hearing was requested by NDP Natural Resources critic Claude Gravelle.
Gravelle says we have to be sure to do this project right and that the proper consultations take place.
He adds First Nations support the project but want to ensure that treaty rights are respected.
Gravelle says the hearings will determine if everyone is on side with the environmental and economic impacts.
The hearings will take place next Tuesday and Thursday in Ottawa.
