The one and only stop in Northwestern Ontario for the Rural and Northern Health Care Panel took place Thursday in Dryden.
MPP Liz Sandals is the Parliamentary Assistant for the Ministry of Health and says non-urgent patient transfers continues to be an issue in the North.
Sandals adds other concerns are attracting health care professionals and establishing specific services like a diabetes clinic.
The Guelph MPP also defended Local Health Integration Networks, noting that health care professionals seem to migrate to LHIN based communities.
Sandals hopes to deliver her list of recommendations to the Legislature early this Summer.
