Passenger Rail Service Coming Back?

This Saturday will mark the 15th anniversary of the cancellation of Via
Rail between Sudbury and Winnipeg and a new push is on to bring passenger
service back on the CP Rail line.
The Superior North Community Futures Development Corporation has
hired Consultant Sylvain Gervais to conduct a feasibility study.
Gervais says talks with CP Rail are underway and he believes the
rail service is feasible and desperately needed.
He notes the return of passenger rail service will help solve
transportation issues while creating jobs and enhancing tourism in this
region.
