Passport application confirmation has been made easier for residents of Fort Frances.
Service Canada has received permission to offer passport receiving services—and expects to be up and running at the end of the month.
This eliminates the need for people to travel to either Winnipeg or Thunder Bay, and instead the work will be done at the local Service Canada Office at 301 Scott Street.
It’s part of an expansion that’s been piloted in a number of communities. Kenora has had a pilot site for the past two years.
The new system ensures all the information is accurate and complete which expedites the entire process.
