The North West LHIN says its patients want to see improved senior care services going forward.
The comments come following the release of a report from the Ontario Council of Hospitals Union last week, which found that home and community care is failing northern patients.
LHIN CEO Laura Kokocinski says the LHIN recently did its own patient survey, and its own findings echo that sentiment. She says they were looking for what kind of issues people are having with the system, and what they heard was a lot about the need for more assisted living and supportive house, long term care services and home care services.
She says the LHIN’s next Integrated Health Services Plan will be heavily guided by the information gathered from its survey. (File photo)
