Ontario Progressive Conservative Leader Patrick Brown is accusing the Liberals of spending taxpayer money on partisan advertising to promote their Fair Hydro Plan.
Brown is asking Premier Kathleen Wynne to disclose how much public money the government is spending to sell “their tired old lines”.
He notes the Auditor General even says the advertising is partisan.
Brown says the ads are in contempt of the Legislature because the bill hasn’t even been passed yet.
However, the Speaker of the Legislature ruled against a contempt charge levelled by the PC’s saying the ads only indicate the Fair Hydro Plan will be implemented IF approved by the legislature.
