One person is dead following a vehicle/pedestrian collision this morning (Tuesday) on Highway 11/17, west of Thunder Bay.
Provincial Police say they were called to the area just west of Fraser Road just after 5:00am.
Police have now identified the victim as 39-year-old Joel Walton from Fort Frances.
The crash forced the closure of the Trans-Canada for more than five hours.
The highway is now open to both lanes of traffic.
No other details are known at this time.
