What a Canada Day in Dryden!
The community came out in full force yesterday to enjoy all of the activities.
Speaking at Cooper Park, Mayor Craig Nuttall stressed it was great to see everyone out and about.
He notes Canada Day shows that everyone can come together and work together to improve the quality of life in the community.
Nuttall also thanked all of the volunteers for hosting a spectacular event.
Nuttall says the community needs to stay positive, because a lot of things are going to be happening in the next three to four months.
He stresses things are going to improve.
The day ended with a bang with the fireworks display and Mayor Nuttall says work on next years display is well underway.
Domino’s Pizza was raising funds for the event yesterday and CKDR has left over money from the massive fundraising effort.
The Dryden Fire Services once again stepped up to host the display.

Dryden residents took to social media to comment on Canada Day activities stating that the pride and spirit of the community came through and that the fireworks were sensational.
Many participants stressed the importance of keeping this momentum going.
