The Ontario Trucking Association feels installing speed

limiters in trucks is a no brainer, and doesn’t know why

the Province hasn’t made it mandatory.

A poll released yesterday shows 70% of Ontario residents

are polled in favour of a regulated speed for transport

trucks.

Spokesperson Doug Switzer says there are a number of

benefits to having limiters in trucks.

Transport trucks would only be able to travel at a

maximum speed of 105 kilometers an hour, if speed limiters

were made mandatory.
