Phil Vinet is not done handling the needs of Red Lake.
He has filed his papers for Mayor for the October election, the only one to do so at this point.
Vinet says his job has been made easy thanks to a great team of Councillors and staff.
He notes they have accomplished a lot over the past 4 years including road, water and sewer upgrades, a new skateboard park, a new clinic as well as a new Airport terminal building.
Vinet adds they have also made major strides in recycling.
Vinet notes there remains unfinished business.
He says he wants to address housing issues, commercial availability and securing a new events centre.
Incumbent Carol Baron is the only person to file papers for Councillor.
Red Lake is moving away from a 6-member Council and is instead switching to a 4-member Council.
