Sioux Lookout area residents are warned of an ongoing scam
The Sioux Lookout Chamber of Commerce says they received a call from Bell Canada stating they are upgrading phone lines in the area and asked for their personal information.
The Chamber warns businesses to not give out any information, as Bell Canada confirmed it was not them and was likely a fraudster.
The OPP says if you’ve been the victim of a fraud, contact them immediately at 1-888-310-1122 or the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre at http://antifraudcentre.ca.
