Phyllis Dorothy Olson
August 17, 1940- August 5, 2012
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Phyllis Dorothy Olson on Sunday August 5, 2012.
Phyllis will be sadly missed by her husband Ronald Olson, her children Wendy Olson (Dan Nosal), Ronda Matchett (Gary), Sandy Davies (Darren) and Beth Potter (Kelvin). She will also be missed by her grandchildren Jill Nolet (Enrique Lorca), Tim Matchett (Laura), Ron Matchett (Carrie Fediuk), Jacob Davies, Sarah Davies and Amber Brausse (Jordan) and by her great grandchildren Jailynn Matchett, Josh and Cassidy and Kallin and Taylor Matchett.
Phyllis was predeceased by her parents Phil and Agnes Laverdure, brother Harley Laverdure, sister Suesette Larson and her mother and father in law Arthur and Thelma.
Phyllis was known for her love of crafts, her cooking, going out fishing and for spending time with her children and grandchildren.
There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
Memorial services for Phyllis will be held on Thursday August 9, 2012 at the Dryden Community Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00pm with Mrs. Velma Henderson officiating.
Interment of ashes will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Lung Assocation through the Dryden Community Funeral Home, 249 Grand Trunk Ave, Dryden ON P8N 2X3.
