A 34-year-old man has been arrested following a confrontation with Dryden Police officers.
Around 11 o’clock Sunday night, police were called to a Clearwater Crescent home to investigate an attempted break and enter with a knife or machete.
Officers located the suspect who refused to give up the weapon.
Police say the accused challenged officers and after a physical confrontation his weapon was secured and he was taken into custody.
The unnamed Dryden man faces seven charges including assaulting a peace officer and assault with a weapon.
