A Pickle Lake resident has won the first 50/50 draw of the year for the Lake of the Woods District Hospital Foundation in Kenora.
Dan Macklin becomes the 17th winner of the hospital lottery and takes home $34,675.
Macklin says he’s been buying the 50/50 tickets since the fundraiser was first launched.
The draw was held on Monday.
The February draw will take place on the 28th at 11 am.
