Voters decide Monday if Pierre Poilievre goes back to parliament

Pierre Poilievre hopes to win back his place in parliament tonight.

A crucial by-election in Alberta will decide if the Conservative Party leader can return. to the house of commons.

Poilievre lost his longtime seat of Carleton in the spring election to Liberal Bruce Fanjoy.

Conservative Damien Kurek stepped down from his spot in Battle River-Crowfoot for Poilievre to run.

He faces a leadership review in January of next year after losing the election.

But 338 Canada projects a sweep for him Monday night.

Voting closes at 8:30 p.m. MDT.
