Pilot Project To Keep Some Parks Open

The Ministry of Natural Resources is having second thoughts about closing ten provincial parks in northern Ontario.
The Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities says there have been talks to keep at least three open.
Al Spacek is president of FONOM and says local groups are stepping to the plate.
Spacek says they are working on a pilot project to keep Fushimi Park near Hearst, Ivanoe near Chapleau and Rene Brunelle near Kapuskasing open this summer.
