An implementation plan is finally in place for the transfer of Ontario
Works programs to the Kenora District Services Board.
The most complicated job will be negotiations with 5-unions and 1
non-union site and marrying all parties involved.
Director of Ontario Works Diane Apland says they have hired an expert
from Sudbury to deal with that.
Apland says there will be some changes to front line offices.
The Dryden office will eventually be moved adjacent to the KDSB Office on Princess Street.
Apland says the Sioux Lookout office will also likely change locations.
Money has been set aside for renovations at each site.
The transfer of service is expected to be completed next march.
