Investigators aren’t clear yet what caused Tuesday’s plane
crash near North Spirit Lake First Nation.
But they’ll arrive on the scene this morning (Wednesday) to begin trying to figure it out.
The twin-engine plane slammed into a lake upon landing in a
blinding snowstorm, killing four of the five people on-board.
Local residents frantically tried to douse the flaming wreckage with snow.
The lone survivor of the crash was 36-year-old Brian Shead of
Winnipeg, who is in hospital with a broken ankle and broken facial bones.
