The Transportation Safety Board has sent an investigator to Kenora to look into a float plane accident.
The plane crashed yesterday morning just after 8:00 into
Laurenson’s Lake.
The pilot was hauled out of the wreckage by a pair of local residents who were boating in the area.
52 year old Don Canfield sustained serious injuries and was taken to Lake of the Woods District Hospital for treatment.
A spokesperson for the safety board says they don’t have a good idea yet what might have caused the plane to crash.
