A small airplane was forced to make an emergency landing Wednesday on the Trans-Canada Highway near Dorion, east of Thunder Bay.
OPP say the late-model Piper landed around 3 o’clock, when pilot Sebastien Gombardie, who was flying from Montreal to British Columbia, became concerned about low fuel levels.
Gombardi decided landing as soon as possible was the best option and he picked a straight stretch of highway.
Police say the pilot was the only person in the plane and wasn’t hurt.
Transport Canada and OPP are investigating.
