Plea Made to Protect Volunteers

The Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs is making a plea to the
Province to protect volunteers.
The group is urging the Government to enact Legislation that shields
not-for-profit organizations from unreasonable liability claims.
Spokesperson Ron Purchase says it threatens the local volunteer base.
The campaign is timely as several Northern Ontario Snowmobile Clubs
have threatened to close because of insurance rates and petty claims.
