Plenty Of Questions Surrounding DHS Move

Plenty of questions remain surrounding a plan to switch Dryden High School to a Grade 7 to 12 model.
The first of three planned public meetings was held Tuesday night at DHS.
About 60-people attended the forum.
There were several concerns about social issues as well as the young students blending in with the older students.
Others stated that two new schools have been built in Dryden and students should have the opportunity to experience that atmosphere.
Another concern was raised about the layout at DHS.
Everyone in attendance was pleased that the Public School Board has launched public consultation but are hoping that a decision hasn’t already been made.
The model has worked well at Beaver Brae High School in Kenora.
A second meeting is planned for tonight at 6 o’clock at Lillian Berg School in Vermilion Bay.
