Pointing a Gun at Police Lands Man in Jail

A scare for Nishnawbe-Aski Police in the remote First Nation community of Lansdowne House, north of Thunder Bay.
Police responded to a disturbance and were confronted by a man with a firearm.
The man continued to point the gun at officers before fleeing into the bush.
The accused was located the next day and transported to Sioux Lookout for treatment of hypothermia.
Lawrence Sakanee has been charged with careless use of a firearm, pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose and possession of a prohibited weapon.
