Police Break Up Major Cigarette Theft

Two Balmertown residents are in custody after Red Lake OPP broke up a major theft last Thursday.
Police were called to Lundy’s Shop Easy after the store was broken into and $11,000 worth of cigarettes went missing.
Later in the day, Officers stopped a vehicle on Highway 105 and observed several suitcases and duffle bags filled with cigarettes.
Police say the 25-year-old males are both facing charges of possession exceeding $5,000.
