Police Chief Wants Action on Violent Games

The City of Dryden is calling on the Province to ban or restrict
violent video games like Grand Theft Auto.
Council is supporting a resolution that was introduced by the York
Region Police Services Board.
Chief Shayne MacKinnon says he’s concerned about the possible effects
of visual violence, including the killing of police officers.
MacKinnon says kids often emulate the things they see on TV and he is
asking parents to help monitor violent games.
There is no current Provincial Legislation that requires classification
stickers on games.
